Our partner: Solenco Power

We are shareholders of Solenco Power NV, a pioneer in the design, manufacturing and distribution of hydrogen-based products and services. More specifically, the Belgian company specialises in research and development, and in the design and manufacture of decentralized energy storage and management systems  which offer integrated zero-emission solutions and optimize the efficiency of renewable energy sources, like the revolutionary Solenco Powerbox.

Solenco Powerbox

Solenco Powerbox

This is an integrated system capable of guaranteeing domestic energy autonomy, even if a home is not connected to gas or electricity networks: in a single stack, Solenco Powerbox contains an electrolyzer, a fuel cell system and a hydrogen boiler, for greater energy efficiency at lower cost.

How it works

How it works

In simple terms: the solar panels provide the energy required for water electrolysis, the most common electrochemical process for separating the two elements that make it up: hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen thus obtained is used to store, when available, excess energy, which can be used at a later time: to either generate electrical energy using the integrated fuel cell or thermal energy with the hydrogen boiler.

Features

Features

Solenco Powerbox contains all the necessary components for the integrated management of both electricity and heat. A single stack includes the electrolyzer and the fuel cell, thus allowing to minimise size and cost. Powerbox is also equipped with a water purifier and a remote-access control system. Hydrogen is stored separately for space and safety requirements. The process is CO2 free: no greenhouse gases are emitted in either the production, distribution or usage of the energy.
